Project Overview
The client pursued the renovation of Moffitt Library, the primary undergraduate library at the University of California, Berkeley. The project encompassed a comprehensive modernization of the facility, updating study environments, collaborative spaces, and technology infrastructure to serve the evolving needs of the campus community. As a high-profile academic institution with a deeply engaged owner, UC Berkeley expected a pursuit team that could communicate both technical competence and a clear understanding of the library's role in student life. PRESWERX supported the client's pursuit by developing the written proposal, presentation materials, and coaching the team for the live selection process.

Client Challenges
Competing for a major academic renovation at a flagship research university required more than a strong resume. The client faced three distinct challenges going into the selection:
Communicating a complex renovation scope as a single, coherent story suited to an engaged, non-technical owner audience.
Differentiating a highly qualified team in a field of competitors with comparable higher education experience.
Preparing the presentation team to perform with clarity, confidence, and consistency in a live interview setting.
Together, these challenges called for a pursuit package built around a unified narrative and a team that was fully prepared to deliver it.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX developed a complete pursuit package for the client's Moffitt Library renovation bid. The written proposal was crafted to communicate the client's renovation approach with precision, connecting technical methodology to the specific academic context of the project and the expectations of the UC Berkeley owner. PRESWERX also produced the selection presentation, structuring it to guide the panel efficiently through the team's qualifications, project understanding, and approach to the renovation's most complex challenges. To complement both deliverables, PRESWERX provided direct presentation coaching, preparing the team to respond with consistency and confidence during the live interview.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX treated the proposal, presentation, and coaching as a single integrated pursuit strategy rather than three separate deliverables. The work centered on building one clear narrative that each piece of the package reinforced.
Proposal content was developed to frame the client's technical approach in terms of the student experience and the university's long-term vision for the facility, speaking directly to what the owner needed to hear.
The presentation was structured to move the selection panel quickly from context to confidence, with a visual and verbal flow designed to hold attention and emphasize team strength.
Coaching sessions focused on message alignment across speakers, handling technical questions from a non-technical panel, and building each presenter's command of the room.
This integrated approach gave the client a pursuit package where every element pointed toward the same story, delivered by a team that was ready to own it.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX produced a complete, polished pursuit package calibrated to the expectations of a major research university selection process. Each deliverable was built to strengthen the client's position with the owner.
The proposal presented a technically grounded renovation approach within a clear narrative framework, making a complex scope legible to an owner audience with broad academic priorities.
The presentation gave the selection panel a well-sequenced picture of the team, their process, and their understanding of what the Moffitt Library renovation meant for the campus.
Coaching sessions brought message consistency across the team and sharpened each presenter's ability to respond with authority under the pressure of a live selection.
The client entered the selection with materials that reflected genuine depth of experience and a team that was fully prepared to make their case.
