Project Overview
Fremont Union High School District sought to expand hands-on learning opportunities at Lynbrook High School through the construction of a dedicated makerspace facility in San Jose, California. The new single-story building spanned approximately 5,780 square feet and was purpose-built to support robotics, fabrication, and STEM-focused education. The program encompassed a multi-use classroom, a makerspace shop, a dedicated robot testing room, and supporting restrooms, all tied together with associated site work. The $125 million project carried high expectations from the district and the community. PRESWERX partnered with the client to develop a full pursuit package, including proposal support, a polished presentation, presentation coaching, renderings, animations, and film production.

Client Challenges
Competing for a high-profile K-12 facility required the client to communicate technical capability and community vision to a discerning public-sector owner:
Translating a specialized, program-driven building into a compelling narrative for district stakeholders and selection committees
Visualizing the makerspace environment before construction, giving evaluators a clear picture of how students would interact with the space
Differentiating the team in a competitive field by demonstrating both construction expertise and alignment with the district's educational mission
Delivering a polished, confident live interview performance that reflected the team's depth of preparation
Each of these challenges demanded a coordinated pursuit strategy that connected the facility's purpose to the client's credibility as a builder of educational spaces.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX delivered a comprehensive pursuit support package tailored to the specific demands of this K-12 educational project. Proposal development focused on framing the client's qualifications around the district's priorities for hands-on learning and community investment. A custom presentation was built around the makerspace concept, organizing the team's story to resonate with the Fremont Union High School District selection panel. PRESWERX also provided presentation coaching to sharpen the client's delivery and prepare the team for live panel questions. Architectural renderings brought the 5,780-square-foot facility to life with detailed visualizations of the shop, classroom, and robot testing room. Animations and a purpose-built film added dimension to the submission, giving evaluators a visceral sense of how the finished building would serve students and faculty.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX approached the pursuit as a strategic storytelling challenge, anchoring every deliverable to the district's stated goal of expanding innovation-focused education at Lynbrook High School.
Developed proposal content that framed the client's technical qualifications within the context of the school's educational mission, connecting construction capability to student outcomes
Produced renderings, animations, and film assets that emphasized the active, student-centered nature of the makerspace environment rather than generic architectural imagery
Conducted focused presentation coaching sessions that prepared the team to speak confidently about the facility's design intent and their approach to building in an active school environment
The result was a pursuit package in which every element reinforced the same message: this team understood what Lynbrook High School needed and had the expertise to deliver it.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX produced a fully integrated pursuit package that positioned the client as the clear choice for a project with significant community visibility and educational significance.
Renderings and animations conveyed the scale, function, and student experience of the makerspace building with clarity and visual appeal, giving the selection panel a concrete picture of the finished facility
The proposal and presentation materials told a cohesive story that tied the client's qualifications directly to the district's vision for hands-on learning and STEM education at Lynbrook High School
Presentation coaching built the team's confidence and sharpened their ability to address technical and community-oriented questions with specificity and poise
Going into the selection, the client's team was prepared, polished, and fully aligned around a pursuit message that reflected the importance of the project to the district and the students it would serve.
