Project Overview

Hollywood Park Elementary School is an existing campus in Sacramento, California undergoing a comprehensive modernization effort for Sacramento City Unified School District. The $8 million project encompassed replacement of landscaping and hardscape, updates to electrical and mechanical systems, interior and exterior painting, and replacement of food service and restroom equipment. The scope touched virtually every corner of the campus, requiring a pursuit strategy that could hold those varied elements together as a unified story. Landmark Construction engaged PRESWERX to lead proposal development, produce renderings and animations, design the presentation, and coach the client's team ahead of the selection interview.

Client Challenges

Communicating a broad, multi-trade modernization scope to a district audience required more than a list of improvements:

  • The project covered landscaping, hardscape, electrical, mechanical, painting, food service, and restroom systems. Presenting that as a cohesive vision rather than a catalog of repairs was the central challenge.

  • The district's review committee was not a construction audience, so technical scope had to be translated into accessible, visually compelling materials.

  • A competitive bid environment meant that strong proposal content and a confident, polished interview were non-negotiable.

The client needed a partner who could take a complex scope and shape it into a clear, differentiated story from proposal through presentation.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX delivered a full pursuit package for the Hollywood Park Elementary School modernization. The team developed a proposal that organized the project's wide-ranging scope into a narrative built around campus transformation, making the work legible to a school district review committee. Custom renderings visualized the landscape and hardscape improvements, giving evaluators a clear picture of what the updated campus would look and feel like. Animations extended that visual story, helping the client's team communicate the full scope of change more effectively than static documents alone. PRESWERX also designed the presentation and led coaching sessions to prepare the client's team for the live selection interview.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX focused on turning a fragmented list of improvements into a single, legible campus story that could hold up across every stage of the pursuit:

  • Built a proposal narrative that framed individual scope items as parts of a cohesive modernization effort, not a checklist

  • Produced renderings and animations that helped the district visualize the campus transformation in concrete, accessible terms

  • Coached the client's presentation team on messaging, pacing, and how to handle anticipated questions from the selection panel

The client entered the interview with polished materials and a practiced, confident team ready to make a strong case.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete pursuit package calibrated to the standards of a district-level selection process:

  • The proposal organized a complex, multi-trade scope into a clear narrative the review committee could evaluate with confidence

  • Renderings and animations gave the client a visual toolkit that elevated the standard of their submission above typical proposal materials

  • Presentation coaching left the client's team prepared, practiced, and aligned on messaging ahead of the live interview

The client walked into the selection with every deliverable in place and a well-rehearsed team ready to represent the project.
