Project Overview
The Boise Groundwater Recharge project was a water infrastructure initiative in Boise, Idaho, pursued through a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) delivery method for the City of Boise. The project was part of the city's Recycled Water Program, a community-rooted initiative designed to advance climate goals, build drought resilience, and support sustainable growth. The City's Water Renewal Services currently renews approximately 10 billion gallons of used water annually, with treatment capacity projected to increase 20% over the next two decades in response to community growth. The client engaged PRESWERX to support the pursuit with a presentation, presentation coaching, renderings, and animations.
Client Challenges
The client was pursuing a CMGC role on a complex, multi-benefit public water infrastructure program with deep community roots and long-term implications for the City of Boise's water supply. The pursuit presented several distinct challenges:
Communicating the team's approach to a CMGC water infrastructure role to a municipal owner evaluating contractors on technical capability, collaborative delivery experience, and alignment with the program's community values.
Visualizing a groundwater recharge and recycled water program in a way that made the technical scope accessible to a broad public audience.
Differentiating the team in a competitive selection for a program that required both construction leadership and genuine stakeholder engagement.
Preparing presenters to speak credibly about a technically complex water infrastructure program in a live city selection interview.
Together, these demands called for materials that could bridge technical depth with community-centered communication.
Scope of Work
PRESWERX built the selection presentation and provided coaching to prepare the client's team for the City of Boise interview. Renderings visualized the groundwater recharge infrastructure and the broader Recycled Water Program, communicating the program's physical scope and community benefit in a format accessible to both technical reviewers and public stakeholders. Animations illustrated the recycled water process and the recharge system's role in building long-term drought resilience for the city. Coaching prepared the team's speakers to present a technically demanding water infrastructure program with the clarity and community alignment the City of Boise's selection process required.
PRESWERX Approach
